Theology School

The Theology School of the Alliance of Ethiopian Evangelical Churches in Europe (AEECE) is a ministry dedicated to equipping pastors, church leaders, and Christian servants serving evangelical congregations across Europe. Through theological and biblical courses taught in Amharic, the school provides accessible, contextually relevant training that strengthens participants’ knowledge of Scripture, develops practical ministry skills, and prepares them for faithful leadership in their local churches. By offering education in the heart language of its students, the Theology School supports the spiritual growth of Ethiopian evangelical communities, promotes sound biblical teaching, and helps develop capable leaders who can effectively serve the Church across Europe.

Establishment of the Theology School

For several years, AEECE had envisioned establishing a Theology school and had been prayerfully considering and discussing how this vision could be realized. The vision was further strengthened during the extensive process of developing the Association’s five-year strategic plan in 2023–2024, when the proposal was put forward by leaders of member churches.

Following extensive discussions regarding the need for the school, its organizational structure, mode of operation, and potential location, the Executive Board at the time endorsed the proposal and presented it to the General Assembly. The General Assembly subsequently approved the proposal and resolved that the Fellowship should establish its own Bible school.

As a result, the Theology School was launched in March 2025 with an Associate Diploma Program with more than 100 students. The students come from Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Lebanon, demonstrating the school’s broad international reach from its very beginning. This marked a historic milestone for the Association.

Academic Delivery and Organization

The Theology School is delivered entirely online. Each student is provided with a personal Student Portal through the school’s website, where they can access course materials, assignments, examinations, and other learning resources.

The School is currently undergoing the registration process in the United Kingdom to obtain legal status as an educational institution.
